It's winter here in the Southern Hemisphere, and some days, a cuppa tea just hits the spot when it's too cold out there to venture out. But hubby doesn't like hot drinks (yes, crazy, I know). So when you just want a cup of tea for one, what do you turn to?

I love stumbling across really cool things, especially for the home as I really want to totally redecorate our tired looking pad. I love the quirky and unusual, I don't want our home to look like every other house or even the cookie cutter display homes. I want it to be a place with character, yet uncluttered.
One blog I love reading is Feber / Hem. I have no idea what this means or anything they write as it's in Swedish I presume. But there are always cool finds to be had on this blog.

The other day, it was more of a case of "weird finds".....
Like seriously, I understand the need to be able to put a water bottle holder on a bike, but a wine holder? Fancy having a swig while going on a bike ride? (if you happen to be one of those people, and I promise I won't judge you as I can be found doing weird stuff myself at times, it's available on etsy)
And I'd totally be petrified to sit on this chair. Well, that was until curiousity got the better of me and I found the site it originally came from and figured out how it worked. OK, weird to look at but it can work (info available from here if you are just as curious)
But this one kinda baffles me...... If I were a man, and believe me I'm not, which is probably why I don't get it, I don't think I'd want to know where the last man pee'd. I know men are a different breed, like no matter how old they are, they think farts are funny. But this kinda grosses me out. Usually the smell of a urinal is bad enough, but pee marks? OK, top marks for inventiveness.
OK. So you and your significant other need a new living room rug. One wants a luxurious, worldly persian rug, whilst the other really wants a bear skin rug (I'm sure there is someone out there that wants one). You argue, you bicker, you fight.............

Ok, so you wanna be a badass, but it's kinda hard to portray that image when you are baking cupcakes. You can grunt and swear all you like, but it still doesn't cut the mustard. Well, I think I solved your problem!
Introducing the Glove & Hate Oven Mitt by Stuart Gardiner. This quirky oven mitt has the word "Love" on the right hand side and "Hate" on the left hand side. Kinda looks like a thugs tattoo. So when the feeling of wanting to be a badass wears off and you've finished baking your cupcakes, you can take it off and sit down and have a cup of tea :)
Since I don't particularly take myself too seriously and love a good chuckle, I kinda fell in love with these hand sanitizers. How cute? Imagine whipping these out of your handbag, I'm sure you'd make someone smile :)
Another thing I miss trawling the net for is interior design ideas. We've been in this house for 10 years and never really decorated it properly. Yes, we have furniture, but it's really missing a personal design touch. All we have are paintings that I've painted and I'm kinda bored of those.
One thing I have come across that I HAVE to have and and have just ordered is this cute sign for the bathroom. As most people, when visitors ask to use the toilet, you direct them down the hall and try and describe which door is the toilet. Well, this little sign will be a dead giveaway that they've found the right room. I soooooooooooooo have to have this!! It's by an aussie company called Mooza designs. It's just so my style too :)
They also do house numbers (also ordered!) and words. I love their prints and designs.
Lollies, candy, anything sweet, I can't get enough of it!!! Obviously I'm not alone. Althuogh gummi bears don't top my list of all things sweet, it's obviously someone's favourite!
How cool is this gummi bear chandellier? It's made from approximately 5,000 hand strung acrylic gummi bears (thank god it's not the real thing, imagine the ants!). It apparently takes them about 2 months to complete. And it's really limited in stock. So if gummi bears are your thing, you'd better get in fast!
I've recently decided to "freshen" up the house abit with a little decorating. At this point, it's really only furniture and a few paintings that we have in the house, and with little ones, it just looks..........trashed. So I've been hunting around online for a few inspirations.
I came across these cute, scrabble inspired cushions. The cushions themselves are made out of recycled bottle felt and the filling is made out of recycled plastic bottles with an organic cotton outer. So eco friendly!!!
Don't you just hate it, when you're about to take a sip of your coffee, expecting that nice warm jolt of caffine and uuugggghhhhh.....it's cold!!!!!
Well, you can easily take the guesswork out of wondering if it's cold or hot with these geeky cool mugs.
If you're an 80's child, you probably grew up on pac man and space invaders. It takes me back to the days of Atari. These geek inspired mugs show the game in full effect when it's hot, but when it's cold, it's a case of .....game over........

How cool is this labyrinth aquarium??!!! We've got 2 empty fishtanks at home including one built into the wall with a frame around it to look like a picture frame, but even that doesn't compare to this!! I'm sure if I had this at home I'd be persuaded to look after the little fishies inside :)
