Cool Find....

A new take on the "To Do" list.

How wonderful is this idea?! If you are anything like me, I'm forever writing lists, especially "to do" lists, but unfortunately, I'm forever misplacing them. I don't think you can misplace this though! A great snapshot of what you have planned for the week. I love it!

Designer Crush - Seneca Rising

My style varies so much, some days girly, other days plain with a statement necklace. I just never know what I'm going to feel like when I wake up.

For the days that I want a cool casual look, I've come across a designer who fits the bill perfectly!! The lable is called Seneca Rising and has been described as "thrift store meets big brother hand me downs". There are quite a few pieces I am seriously contemplating adding to my wardrobe. They just seem so easy to wear.

I wanted this one BAD but it's sold out :(

Independant Designer Spotlight

This week's independant designer spotlight focuses on Naomilingerie. Based in my hometown Melbourne, Australia, I totally fell in love with these beautiful pieces. They are a breath of fresh air from the mainstream lingerie that is available. Described as innocent and warm, the pieces are sooooooooooooo pretty. See for yourself!

Piece of the week

This weeks piece is a lovely transeasonal piece - the Birds in Flight Necklace.

This statement piece can really make a plain outfit stand out. In summer, a cute tank and some flared jeans. In winter, over a black dress and opaques. Or whatever way takes your fancy!

People in glass houses, shouldn't...... (throw stones?)

They say people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Well, if you lived in this house, I'd add to that list:

* Walk around the house naked
* Dance around like a fool when you think no one is looking
* Shower
* Go to the toilet
* Get up to any hanky panky

Whilst this house is breathtaking and I LOVE lot's of glass in a house, I don't think I could live in this one, I'd be too scared to do a damn thing!

Indie Designer Spotlight.....

For some reason, I love paper products. I've always had a thing for them, but I find when I do buy something so pretty, I feel it's too pretty to use, I just want to keep them perfect like when I got them. But from now on, I'm going to live in the moment more, and enjoy these pretty things on a daily basis.

So I came across this wonderful designer who makes the most pretty, vintage inspired products who's shop is called Design Lovely. From greeting cards to notebooks, magnetic clips to buntings, this shop has it all, made from vintage wallpaper, in the most prettiest of patterns. I particularly have a weakness for anything with lace, and she has the most gorgeous greeting cards with a lace trim.

Have a look for yourself!

All available at Design Lovely on etsy.

Piece of the week

This week's piece of the week are these lovely earrings. The Glistening Purple Rose Earrings are made from a pretty matt gold plated filigree floral disc and have 16k gold plated decorative earwires.

They can make the plainest outfit "pop", totally dress up a dressier outfit and are great for all seasons.

How cool is this? A toaster that imprints a message onto your toast! What a nice way to start the day, with a cute message from your loved one (that's if they make you toast!). By Sasha Pure

I don't like fur, but.............

I've never really been a fan of fur. I've never really owned anything fur. The closest to fur I've had is a detatchable fluffy acrylic collar on a coat and my mum's vintage, very fake looking white fur coat. Whilst I didn't mind some of the fur vests I've seen over the years, they never really did anything for me and never even made me contemplate buying anything fur. But last week whilst browsing some of my favourite blogs, I came across some pictures of girls wearing furs and now I really want to have a fur "something" next winter!! By gosh, it took me long enough to finally want to look so woolly. Bad enough I got a lambswool Eryn Brinie vest recently, it looks like I may have to buy something else after being inspired by the girls below, from full on fur, fur stole to cute little vest.
